The rules of the course
How Find My Discs works
Every round, discs disappear into lakes, long grass and the one tree in the middle of the fairway. Most of them are found again — the trick is getting the finder and the owner talking.
Lost a disc?
- Post it with the mold, colour, stamp and anything written on it.
- Drop a pin on the map where you lost it, and pick how you'd like it back.
- Add a reward if you like — rewards are sorted out between you and the finder.
- We'll let you know when a similar disc is posted as found nearby.
Found a disc?
- Check for a Find My Discs code or QR sticker. If there is one, enter it and message the owner directly.
- Otherwise post it. Hold back a detail or two so the real owner can prove it's theirs.
- Chat on the platform, hand it back, and get 50 points when the owner marks it reunited.
Disc codes & QR tags
Writing your phone number on a disc means strangers have your phone number forever. Instead:
- Player code (5 characters) — one code for your whole bag. Write it on every disc with a paint pen.
- Disc codes (6 characters) — register an individual disc and it gets its own code and printable QR sticker. Finders see exactly which disc it is (and whether you've reported it lost).
Codes skip easily-confused letters — no I, L, O or U — and we automatically fix common mix-ups, so smudged handwriting still works.
Bounties
Leaving the country? Never going back to that course? Turn a lost post into a bounty: whoever finds it keeps it, and earns 25 bounty points. You can approve claims yourself or let them auto-approve.
Finder etiquette
- Check the course lost & found box and local club groups too.
- Don't hand a disc to anyone who can't describe it.
- Stashing on course? Pick somewhere dry and share a location pin in the chat.
- Meet in public, in daylight — or at the course itself.
- Retrieving from water? Be safe. No disc is worth a hospital trip.
